TOWN OF DAY FIREWORKS SHOW by Santore World-Famous Fireworks will be held on August 17, 2024 at Dusk at Saratoga County Park (next to Boat Launch), North Shore Road, Day.
DAY POP-UP FOOD PANTRY
The Town of Day has partnered with the Regional Food Bank of North Eastern New York under a 2 year grant for a pilot pop-up food pantry. With the help of volunteers we hope that this effort will continue beyond the pilot program. The Food Pantry is held at Day Town Hall Community room once a month on the 3rd Thursday of the month. Distribution hours are 10:00am to 11:30 AM.
Caregiver Conference – On November 16, 2024, the county is having a conference for care givers. The County will pay for someone to stay with your loved one so you can attend. More details to follow
Kids at Heart Club – Programs are beginning for intergenerational experiences. The county will provide a “box” of activities but a senior must reach out to Rebecca Robarge ([email protected]). She will provide all the details. This month the “box” will include items to set up a community garden at your local community center.
SARATOGA COUNTY HAZARD MITIGATION PLAN
In coordination with Saratoga County, the Cities of: Mechanicville, Saratoga Springs, Towns of: Ballston, Charlton, Clifton Park, Corinth, Day, Edinburg, Galway, Greenfield, Hadley, Halfmoon, Malta, Milton, Moreau, Northumberland, Providence, Saratoga, Stillwater, Waterford, Wilton, and Villages of: Ballston Spa, Corinth, Galway, Round Lake, Schuylerville, Stillwater, South Glens Falls, Victory, and Waterford, are updating the Saratoga County Hazard Mitigation Plan. The Plan Update will address hazards that affect the area. The goal of the Plan Update is to minimize or eliminate the long-term risk to human life and property from known hazards through effective mitigation. Saratoga County will hold public meetings to gather public input for updating their Hazard Mitigation Plan. The purpose of the public meeting is to provide a project overview from H2O Partners, Inc., consultant to the project, and solicit information from citizens. Public input will help the project team to analyze potential hazards affecting residents and recommend possible actions to reduce their impact.

Bring your own net to the park, or borrow the portable net, paddles & balls from Day Town Hall (1st come 1st serve basis). The basketball court at the park is also striped for pickleball! Town of Day residents may borrow the equipment from Day Town Hall. Call 518-696-3789 ext. 2 Tuesday-Thursday between 9am-3pm to reserve. Sign-out sheet at Town Hall
